Oh i can’t wait to yell at my friend who said Sunday’s ep of Mad Men was “boring” because honestly, it was the best one yet. Like i mean come one, watching Pete just fall apart. And the whole idea that he’ll never be as good as Don and he’s fighting for Don’s approval and at the same time trying TO BE DON and he just can’t do it, like Don around brings out all of Pete’s imperfections, like when Don fixes the sink and everyone is clapping for him and Pete i just standing there in awe and he can’t even deal with the fact that Don seems to be able to do everything he can’t.

And the last scene when he’s in the elevator with Don and he’s like “I have nothing” and just starts sobbing with this face all beaten up. THAT WAS TERRIFIC. And then the closing with Ken’s writing just, ugh wonderful.

I just appreciate the characters of this show so much. I think some people expect something else out of this show and when they don’t get it they shy away from it or think it’s boring. For the me, the key to really understanding and enjoying this show is understanding and enjoying the characters. Watching certain people rise and others fall, and just all the psychological drama surrounding these people is just so interesting.
