The thing that i really liked about last nights TWD is when Rick couldn’t shoot Dale and Daryl took the gun from him and did it himself.
Mainly because it seems like alot of the time people are doing all the dirty work that Rick can’t do. Not saying Rick hasn’t made his fair share of tough choices, it just looks like sometimes he can’t do it. I think Rick still holds onto some sense of humanity so killing Randall or Dale is still really hard for him compared to Shane and Daryl.
But i also think Shane and Daryl take the gun from Rick and do the work for him because they really care and see that he can’t handle it. That’s the reason i think Shane is okay with “being the bad guy” It’s kinda like ‘well they already hate me, might as well have them hate me more as long as they’re safe and what needs to be done get’s done’ and i don’t think alot would get done if everything was up to Rick.
The same goes for Daryl. He’s the most self-sufficient member of that group and really he says how he doesn’t really need any of them and he could probably make it on his own. But Daryl cares so much, it’s not even funny. He too, is willing to do whatever it takes to keep their own safe so he’s someone who will step up and do what needs to be done.
Taking the gun from Rick is basically taking the burden from him. Daryl and Shane i think are stronger and can carry those burdens better than Rick. And they just do it to help him out because they still kinda need him as a leader so it’s better off that way.
So i might order a gl ring tonight and i’m already thinking about all the stuff i’m going to do with it. Like pretend to open automatic doors, pretend to fly around, pretend it’s real in general. I’m excited. I think i might shine it in people’s faces during class too.
I kinda want to ask for comic recommendations just so i can add them to my stack of unread comics (because school ruins everything) but i just want some good stuff, like maybe not batman, but just really anything nice?
I wish comics weren’t sad all the time or all angry and stuff. Like can’t they all just be happy and like everyone just hugs and they have parties and smile alot.
